COPD is vastly underdiagnosed. One of the biggest challenges for a bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR) program is identifying qualified patients.
If an HCP doesn’t find them early enough, the disease may progress beyond the point where BLVR is a viable treatment option.1
Up to 70% of patients are underdiagnosed, meaning 7 out of 10 people suffer without care, and providers never know.2
82% of patients with severe emphysema are only being treated by primary care practitioners or non-procedural pulmonologists.3 These patients are trapped in a primary care loop—never referred, never evaluated for BLVR.
3 out of 4 patients who are referred for BLVR treatment are determined to be ineligible for therapy, resulting in lost time, wasted resources, and false hope for patients.4
277 of 545 patients in the EMPROVE clinical trial did not meet BLVR eligibility due to their CT scan results.4
As you know, the clinical workup to determine valve candidacy is an intensive process, with the main disqualifer being the last step. Based on feedback from interventional pulmonologists like you, we are helping you start where most patients fail: the CT scan.
Percentages above reflect patients disqualified during the EMPROVE clinical trial. Twelve percent (12%) of candidates did not qualify based on other criteria. *The EMPROVE clinical trial was a multicenter, open-label randomized controlled trial in which patients with severe emphysema were randomized 2:1 to receive Spiration™ Valve System therapy with medical management, or medical management alone.4
Interventional pulmonologists can spend hours coordinating multistep workups, only to hit a brick wall when a CT scan indicates BLVR ineligibility.
Patients endure a multitude of steps, only to learn of their ineligibility after invasive and expensive tests.

SeleCT Screening leverages AI to operate silently in the background of your IT and radiology infrastructure to analyze any non-contrast chest CT scans that are performed in your institution for incidental findings of emphysema.
Once a potential patient is identified, their CT images are seamlessly sent to Imbio Inc. (Minneapolis, MN), our medical software partner, for SeleCT QCT analysis. SeleCT reports are then generated for all qualifying patients and are provided to you in a secure online portal for further work-up or outreach, ultimately streamlining patient selection.
Automatically assesses and screens any non-contrast chest CT within your hospital’s network for emphysema presence and BLVR therapy eligibility.
Generates a SeleCT™ QCT Report to identify target lobes and fissure integrity scores for potential patients to optimize selection and inform clinical decision making.
Easy-to-read results at your fingertips on a web-based portal. Manage patient care and follow up anytime, anywhere.
Meet patients where they are and connect them with the care they need.
Streamline patient selection for valves
Establish a steady pipeline of treatable patients
Enhance efficiency and scalability of your BLVR program
Optimize resource utilization and support program sustainability
